In the beginning:

I was born on December 15, 1975.  My mom named me Jade Carol, which had special significance because it carried on a family tradition (my mom is Jeanne Carol and my grandma was June Carol).  Not only that, but my middle name (meaning "melody" or "song") is significant because singing has been a favorite pastime of all three generations.  From my earliest years my mom and grandma were two of my best friends.

Marriage:

I married my best friend on March 25, 2006.  Matt Stanley and I were re-introduced through a mutual friend and 8 months later we were married.  I couldn't ask for a better husband.  We are together just about 24/7 and oddly never get sick of each others' company.  There is no one I would rather spend time with.  

Work:

I work from home part time (22-30 hrs/week) for a company called Clearwater Analytics.  It is near impossible to explain what I do, but the short version is that I reconcile investment accounts.   I love working from home.  I left a full time accounting job for this position knowing that we wanted to start a family.  I knew this job would allow me to be home with the kids, so it was worth the pay cut.  My focus is shifting to being a mom as well as a business partner in my husband's business.  My accounting degreee has been a blessing in that it has allowed me to help my husband in running his business.  As his business grows I believe my role with Oasis Interactive will continue to expand from just administration to helping build the sites as well. 

Spiritual life:

Last year Matt and I attended School of Ministry which is a Bible school program through Life Church.  We covered a broad range of subjects including old and new testament survey, personal evangelism, the Holy Spirit, personality profiles, preaching, counseling, and many more. It was a great experience and I learned a lot.

Favorite Places to get Dessert: Cheesecake Factory, TGI Fridays, Maggie Moos (no longer in Boise)
