There were times during the last nine months when we felt like this day would never come, but it finally has. We graduated from Life Church School of Ministry last night. Woohoo!

We started school last September (2008), and it has been a great experience, though it required discipline and sacrifice. Our social life was practically non-existent while we were in school because we had very little free time, and what free time we did  have was spent reading books, writing papers and studying for tests. It was challenging to say the least, especially when you consider the fact that I own my own business and — as a result — typically work between 50 and 60 hours per week.

We have made sacrifices and put in the hard work required to see it through, but the investment of time and energy was well worth it. We enjoyed the combination of live and video instruction, and we have grown in both our faith and our understanding of God's word. I would encourage anyone who wants to cultivate a deeper appreciation for what we have in Christ to attend the school. Your spiritual philosophies will be challenged and you will be forced to evaluate your beliefs based on scripture rather than the "sacred cows" of religious tradition.
