I've decided on a baby animal theme for the nursery.

I considered Winnie the Pooh, but after looking at the merchandise available decided I didn't love it.  Animals are so child friendly, gender neutral, and easy to mix and match. 

Instead of doing animals on the bedding set, I've decided to go for just colored sheets, blankets, and bumpers.  The primary nursery color is going to be sage green.  The animals are going to be the accents on the walls and lamp.  I already have the lamp and it is super cute with a little stuffed elephant and lion on the base.  

Mom is busy creating the wall decor.  Instead of painting on the walls (which would be gone at some point when we move) she is painting wood cutouts to hang on the wall.  She found some really cute drawings of animals, enlarged and drew them, had my dad cut them out, and is painting them and adding fabric details to them. 

One wall will have sleeping bunnies in overalls and dresses,  another wall will have a sleeping lion with a lamb, and a third wall is getting a baby giraffe and frog.  They are going to be so adorable and I can't wait to see them!
