This last week we had a check up and mom came to visit.  I also found some great bargains.

Books for BabyWe went to The Baby Place on February 25th for our 14 week check up.  Baby and I are both doing great.  Baby's heart rate was 155.  Baby was so active it took 5 tries to get the heart rate.  As soon as she would find the heart rate, zoom, the baby would be gone and she would have to try again.  It was encouraging to know that Baby is so active in there.  Could be interesting when the kicking starts.

altMom came to visit Friday through Wednesday and we had tons of fun.   She painted the dresser I had gotten off of Craigslist and it looks amazing!  She also brought some fun gifts including a bunch of children's books as well as bookends she made.

While mom was here we started getting rid of extra stuff and getting organized so that Matt's office can become the nursery.  We will be sharing an office when the baby comes.  Good thing we enjoy each others company.  Dad and mom are going to build the furniture that we need to combine offices as well as putting tons of shelves up so we can go vertical.

I think shopping is one of the best parts about being pregnant.  You have 9 months to buy all sorts of cute stuff while you wait for Baby to arrive.  Craigslist has kept me busy lately.  This last week I bought a Diaper Genie, and Baby Einstein DVDs.  One of the Baby Einstein DVDs teaches baby sign language which I think will be great.  My dresser, glider, and swing have all come from Craigslist as well.  I think I'm running out of things to buy until after the baby shower.  I suppose I need to leave some things for the registry.
